City Life

I have always loves San Luis. It is in a perfect location for me, because it is only about 30 minutes or so away from home. Far enough that I can be on my own and do my own thing, but close enough to have my mom do laundry or have some quality family time. My friends can come up and visit, and it will be really good. A friend I have that goes to Cal Poly said that she originally planned on going home all the time but now she never wants to go home because she loves the town.

Downtown slo is quite possibly the cutest place ever. It is full of small streets and random little shops. You could spend days there shopping or just roaming the streets. There are popular places to eat like Woodstocks and Firestones. An interesting thing about SLO is that there are no drive thrus. The city banned them due to air pollution. Crazy, right? You are also ridiculously close to beaches, which is perfect because you don't experience all 4 seasons in SLO. The weather is beautiful. There are also a lot of hiking and adventure trails through the cliffs at the beaches and through the surrounding mountains, as Cal Poly itself has mountains on all sides.

You are less than two hours away from Santa Barbara, which is also home to more beaches and more great shopping, and you are conveniently right between Las Angeles and San Francisco, so the possibilities of adventures are limitless.
